Cynthia Foley added to Hidden Treasures Honour Roll

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has announced Dubbo’s Cynthia Foley as part of the 2020 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll. The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll is an initiative of the NSW Government’s Rural Women’s Network and recognises women for their valuable volunteer roles and the outstanding contribution they provide. Saunders welcomes new police powers

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has welcomed the passing of the Drug Supply Prohibition Order Pilot Scheme Bill 2020, which will give police new powers to search convicted drug dealers and manufacturers as well as their properties to prevent drug supply and keep our communities safe. Women in the Dubbo electorate will be able to apply for a grant of up to $5,000 through the NSW Government’s new $10 million Return to Work program, as part of the 2020-21 NSW Budget. A NSW-first in Dubbo’s ‘Mindyarra’ facility and Wiradjuri Wheels for our youth

There was a NSW-first in Dubbo last week as the Regional Rail Maintenance Facility became the first Transport maintenance centre in the state to be given an Indigenous name! ‘Mindyarra’ is a Wiradjuri word meaning ‘to fix or repair’, and was chosen to represent the work that will occur at the maintenance facility, as well as the work we are doing to create a future of healing with the Traditional Owners of the land on which the facility is located.
