While Thursday may be ‘Thank A Farmer Day’ at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney, Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders took the chance to head west and do the same thing for primary producers in the Trangie region. Safer journeys are on the way across the Dubbo region, with the sealing of Old Mendooran Road one of a number of projects rolling out under the latest round of the Australian and NSW Governments’ accelerated Fixing Local Roads program to improve local roads and create thousands of local jobs in the regions. RFDS to get a good “earn” from reverse vending machine partnership

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has welcomed a partnership between Return and Earn and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) that promises to be a winner for both. Return and Earn is a container deposit scheme that has been promoted by the NSW Government and sees 10c from drink containers returned to the person who recycles the product. Menstrual health program to be trialled in Dubbo

Free menstrual products will be available to students in Dubbo and Western Sydney as part of a pilot program offering tampons and pads to students.  The Liberals & Nationals Government is commencing the trial to run over the next two terms, with the aim to reduce barriers for students. Small business rebate scheme opens soon

A $1500 rebate scheme opening early next month will help small businesses in the region pay for NSW and local government fees and charges, such as licences, council rates, and registration fees. Community urged to assist with new K-2 curriculum

New Check-In Assessments have been developed for Year 4, 6 and 8 students with the roll out starting next term for students in the Dubbo electorate.
