A $1.2 million upgrade to widen the main road linking Gulgong and Wellington is now complete, providing motorists with safer and more reliable journeys through the Central West. RFDS to get a good “earn” from reverse vending machine partnership

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has welcomed a partnership between Return and Earn and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) that promises to be a winner for both. Return and Earn is a container deposit scheme that has been promoted by the NSW Government and sees 10c from drink containers returned to the person who recycles the product. Mid-Western and Dubbo Regional Councils are among 17 councils who will benefit from the NSW Government’s $3.26 million arts and cultural funding for local councils in the 2021/22 financial year. Meroo Hall to receive some much-needed upgrades

The entrance and toilet facilities at Meroo Public Hall will be upgraded thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Crown Reserve Improvement Fund. A $1500 rebate scheme opening early next month will help small businesses in the region pay for NSW and local government fees and charges, such as licences, council rates, and registration fees.
