Arts programs to proceed thanks to funding

A quartet of quality arts programs will proceed in the region, thanks to funding secured through the NSW Government’s Country Arts Support Program. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said Orana Arts will receive in excess of $15,000 which will go towards unique creative projects. Regional Seniors Travel Card 2.0 is (almost) here!

Regional seniors will continue to benefit from the regional seniors travel card, with year two applications opening on January 18, 2021. The regional seniors travel card is a $250 prepaid Visa card designed to assist eligible seniors in regional, rural and remote areas of NSW offset the cost of essential travel expenses. The card can be used to pay for fuel, taxis, pre-booked NSW TrainLink Regional train and coach services, helping them to access essential services. Dubbo Electorate to benefit from $100 million boost to TAFE NSW

TAFE NSW campuses in Dubbo and Mudgee are set to benefit from their share of a $100 million state-wide investment in TAFE NSW facilities and equipment. The investment will focus on campus maintenance programs including plumbing, minor construction and fire safety. Funding will also be allocated for a range of new training equipment including a CAT grader, thermal imaging camera, air seeder and a sand blasting booth at Dubbo’s Mitchell Highway campus, and cots and bedding equipment, milling machines and a tooling machine at Mudgee’s Ulan Road campus. Funding to finish educational display building in Mudgee

A long-awaited project that was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be able to be completed thanks to funding from the NSW Government.
