Megafauna education centre officially opens

The Wellington Caves visitor centre is now home to an interactive education centre, with the $700,000 project officially opened on Monday. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders joined Dubbo Regional Council mayor Stephen Lawrence and other councillors and staff for the occasion, which celebrated a $700,000 collaboration between the NSW and Federal governments, and the council itself. Funding will help provide basic skills to vulnerable children

A literacy and numeracy program attached to the highly-successful Project Walwaay will be able to continue, thanks to $30,000 worth of funding secured by Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders. Education and Training Out West (ETOW) has worked in conjunction with Aboriginal Community Liaison Officers (ACLOs) attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District to identify children with a desire to complete the program. A helping hand for those who give hope

A charity that provides assistance for families of country children diagnosed with cancer and other chronic life-threatening illnesses has been given a helping hand to expand operations. Narromine residents encouraged to register for COVID vaccine

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders is encouraging people from Narromine and surrounds to register for a COVID-19 vaccination, with a clinic to be established for a day early next month. The Western NSW Local Health District will operate a pop-up vaccination clinic at the Narromine Showground on Tuesday, August 3, with eligible recipients able to receive the first dose of the Pfizer jab. COVID-19 support and great news for Dubbo Filmmakers
