In recent weeks I have received numerous complaints from constituents across the electorate expressing their concerns in relation to the restricted access to the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets. While a lot has changed in the world as a result of COVID-19, livestock sales have been exempt from restrictions outlined in NSW Public Health Orders, except for adhering to 1.5m physical distancing. Bulk Return and Earn centre smashes through 7 million mark

Less than seven months after opening its doors, the Vinnies Return and Earn Bulk Container Deposit Centre in Dubbo has processed more than seven million bottles, cans and containers for recycling. Portable grandstands for Pioneer Park

Sportspeople who make use of facilities at Wellington’s Pioneer Park will have access to grandstand seating, with Member for the Dubbo Electorate Dugald Saunders announcing a funding allocation for the project. Mr Saunders said Wellington District Cricket Association has secured funding of $13,000 through the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program. Trangie tennis club set to shine

The big serves and deft volleys of Trangie’s tennis players will be on show under lights, thanks to funding secured by Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders. The Trangie Community Tennis Club has been granted $12,874 from the Local Sports Grants Program, which will allow for the installation of new lighting, as well as an upgrade of the electrical lines at the facility and the installation of a security screen door. Heavenly boost for Dubbo Demons AFL club

The work to make South Dubbo Oval a more professional sporting facility will continue thanks to a $15,000 grant announced by Member for the Dubbo Electorate Dugald Saunders. Crown Lands funding up for grabs, more restrictions to ease

With travel restrictions eased, it was great to see people visiting our regions over the long weekend, while adhering to the COVID-19 restrictions. Visitors from all over the globe have enjoyed our world-class attractions including Mudgee’s wineries, the Gulgong Gold Experience, the Wellington Caves, Dubbo’s Taronga Western Plains Zoo, and the Narromine Aviation Museum. Funding to enhance Crown Reserves

Crown land managers and community groups that use Crown land in the Dubbo Electorate are being invited to apply for a share of $14 million in grants to upgrade and maintain community facilities and reserves across NSW. Support for small businesses extended

Small businesses hit hard by COVID-19 in the Dubbo electorate have more time to submit applications for the Small Business Support Fund grants to help pay for unavoidable expenses, Member for the Dubbo Electorate Dugald Saunders said. The closing date has been extended until June 30, to allow more businesses access grants of up to $10,000 to help cover costs including utilities, rates and supplier costs.
