There was some great news early this week with further details on NSW’s roadmap for easing restrictions for fully vaccinated people. We know stay-at-home orders will be lifted for fully vaccinated adults when NSW reaches the 70 percent double dose vaccination target (Stage 1), which is expected from 11 October. Road transfers to ease burden on Councils

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has welcomed the Interim Report into Road Classification Review and Regional Road Transfer, which has recommended the transfer of a number regional roads to state ownership. One of those transfers put forward by the Independent Panel will see the route from Tomingley to Eumungerie via Narromine moved into state ownership, including sections of road within the Narromine township. Stay-at-home orders to be lifted for Narromine Shire

Stay-at-home (SAH) orders will be lifted for the Narromine Shire from 12.01am on Saturday 25 September, provided there is no sewage detections before then. Grant backs local group to improve River health

Key fish species including Murray Cod and Golden Perch will thrive thanks to a local river rehabilitation project funded by the NSW Government’s Habitat Action Grants. Western Cancer Centre Dubbo opens to patients

The highly anticipated Western Cancer Centre in Dubbo has opened to patients, bringing life-saving services much closer to home for people in regional and remote areas of Western NSW. Construction of the $35 million project is now complete, and services have begun moving into the state-of-the-art facility at Dubbo Hospital in stages from Monday 20 September. Strategy launched to secure NSW’s water future

Carbon-neutral concrete poured at Dubbo Rail Maintenance Facility

Carbon-neutral concrete being poured at Dubbo’s new rail maintenance centre is reducing carbon dioxide equivalent emissions by up to 5,000 tonnes through offset programs.
