Regional buses in Bathurst and Dubbo to trial contactless payments

Using your smart phone or watch to pay for bus trips across regional NSW is a step closer with a trial for contactless payments being rolled out in Bathurst and Dubbo. The trial will start in early 2023 allowing customers to pay their fare by “tapping” their credit or debit card, phone or watch when boarding the bus. Piling work starts for foundation of New Dubbo Bridge

A key milestone for the New Dubbo Bridge is taking place this week with piling work starting on the floodplain adjacent to River Street. Drones bolster war on weeds in state’s Central West

Drones to detect and spray weeds will soon be deployed out to councils across the Central West as the NSW Government ramps up its war on weeds after months of wet weather. Councils in the Dubbo electorate will shortly start receiving funds for urgent pothole repairs, under the NSW Government’s $50 million Fixing Local Roads Pothole Repair Round. $45,000 boost for Dubbo Dementia Choir

An initiative that’s already making a huge difference for people with dementia has received another boost thanks to the NSW Government’s COVID-19 Community Connection and Wellbeing Program. New overtaking lane for safer trips on the Mitchell Highway commences

Work is now underway on a new overtaking lane on the Mitchell Highway between Narromine and Dubbo. The NSW Government will deploy crews and equipment from around the state to the Central West and Murrumbidgee to assist with the mammoth task of reconnecting the road network.
