Funding to help stop domestic violence reoffending

The number of programs targeting domestic violence offenders will be tripled as part of a $18 million NSW Government commitment to reducing reoffending. Referred to as Men’s Behavioural Change Programs, the initiative supports domestic violence offenders to identify at-risk behaviours and actively reduce the prevalence of gender-based violence and abuse in domestic environments. Empowering communities to respond to trauma

Communities across Western NSW are set to benefit from a range of trauma care workshops thanks to a grant from the NSW Government’s COVID-19 Community Connection and Wellbeing Program. Narromine Shire Council is set to embark on a multi-million-dollar scope of works to upgrade the region’s water infrastructure and improve roads, with the support of the NSW Government. New overtaking lane for safer trips on the Mitchell Highway commences

Work is now underway on a new overtaking lane on the Mitchell Highway between Narromine and Dubbo. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said the NSW Government committed $32 million to deliver road upgrades on the Mitchell Highway between to improve safety for motorists. “The new westbound overtaking lane will be built near the Wynsley Lane intersection, about 10 kilometres east of Narromine,” Mr Saunders said. “Work is already underway on a westbound overtaking lane at Lagoon Creek and an eastbound overtaking lane will also be built at Mylangra to make trips between Dubbo and Narromine faster and safer.

A new $720 000 water treatment plant is providing safe and reliable access to water for Tomingley thanks to funding from the State and Federal Governments and Narromine Shire Council. Narromine soccer to have a place to call home

Narromine’s future soccer stars will have a home they can be proud of, thanks to the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program. Narromine will benefit from a trial of new technology to reduce the risk of level crossing collisions between trains and vehicles in regional areas.
