Saunders asks for more drought support

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has called for further financial support to be provided to residents and business owners in drought-impacted regions of regional NSW. Mr Saunders wrote to NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet earlier this week, calling for similar provisions to the ones applied to bushfire-affected parts of the state, including rate relief, and working capital and low interest loans. Applications open for $250 Regional Seniors Travel Card

Applications for the NSW Government’s $250 Regional Seniors Travel Card are now open for those living in the Dubbo electorate. Eligible seniors can apply through service.nsw.gov.au, by calling 13 77 88 or visiting a Service NSW Service Centre. A significant project is on the way for Narromine that will support the changing face of the Orana community and provide local homes and jobs, thanks to funding announced today by the NSW Government. Funding For Safe And Secure Water In Nsw Central West

The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is investing more than $1.6 million into the Dubbo Electorate to improve water quality and security as part of its $1 billion Safe and Secure Program.   The projects include over $1.1 million for the Mudgee Water Treatment Facility upgrade, and over $500,000 to undertake a scoping study to investigate the condition of 31 bores across five Local Government Areas to improve water security.
