Menstrual health program to be trialled in Dubbo

Free menstrual products will be available to students in Dubbo and Western Sydney as part of a pilot program offering tampons and pads to students.  The Liberals & Nationals Government is commencing the trial to run over the next two terms, with the aim to reduce barriers for students. Meroo Hall to receive some much-needed upgrades

The entrance and toilet facilities at Meroo Public Hall will be upgraded thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Crown Reserve Improvement Fund. Small business rebate scheme opens soon

A $1500 rebate scheme opening early next month will help small businesses in the region pay for NSW and local government fees and charges, such as licences, council rates, and registration fees. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said the Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate, which was announced in November’s Budget, will provide support for eligible NSW small businesses, sole traders and non-profit organisations. “Small business plays such a big role in our communities so it’s important that we support them to recover from the impact of the pandemic and encourage business growth by reducing costs,” he said.

Milestone moment for Dubbo Hospital project

The expanded front-of-house and emergency waiting areas of Dubbo Hospital have been shown off for the first time in a special ceremony at the facility.
