Funding to enhance university collaboration

An innovative program that’s already helping to address the teaching shortage in regional NSW has received a much-needed boost from the NSW Government. Newest police officers welcomed to Dubbo region

Three new probationary constables have commenced duties in the Orana Mid-Western Police District this week, after they attested at a formal ceremony at the Goulburn Police Academy last Friday. SES sharpen cave rescue skills in ‘Wellington Wombats’ return

The annual ‘Wellington Wombats’ cave rescue training program has returned after a two-year hiatus, with more than 150 New South Wales State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers descending on the Wellington Caves last weekend. Livestock carriers in focus as Operation Stock Check re-launches across the state

The Rural Crime Prevention Team will today re-launch Operation Stock Check, an ongoing and proactive operation to prevent livestock theft by disrupting the movement of stolen stock throughout NSW. Operation Stock Check was initially launched in August 2020, and allows officers of all ranks to inspect vehicles carrying livestock to identify and target loads which may have been stolen. Record biosecurity investment to combat Foot and Mouth and Lumpy Skin Disease

A $65 million investment to bolster the NSW Government’s biosecurity measures will fast-track the development of  vaccines against Foot and Mouth (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease and help position NSW as leaders in the fight against exotic animal diseases. Millions to unlock new homes in Mid-Western region

Thousands of additional homes are set to be unlocked in the Mid-Western Region thanks to a $2.5 million partnership between the state and local governments.
