Construction on the new three-storey clinical building at the redeveloped Dubbo Hospital is progressing well, with the first of two prototype rooms for the emergency department being unveiled today. The NSW Government will provide Dubbo Regional Council with a special grant of $100,000 to help fund investigations into a bridge for the southern part of the city.

A state of the art training facility for rural firefighters was unveiled today to deliver expert qualifications for the men and women who put their lives on the line protecting regional communities.

Travel times will be reduced and safety improved along Boothenba Road in Dubbo, thanks to $6 million in funding from the NSW Government’s $170 million Drought Stimulus Package.

Dubbo will be a major beneficiary of the latest round of drought funding announced by the NSW Government, with $30 million to be provided over two years to plan an expansion of the local bore field to improve groundwater supply to the city.
