With a challenging 2020 drawing towards an end, Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders is seeking assistance to design his holiday greeting cards.
For many years now, primary school children across the region have been asked to submit drawings, with the winner to take pride of place on the card, which is delivered to hundreds of people and organisations across NSW.
Given the ups and downs of the year, with welcomed rain countered by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr Saunders is keen for the children of the region to share drawings that outline their Christmas wishes
“Last year the theme was “A Colourful Christmas”, but this year I want the kids to show me what Christmas in 2020 will mean to them after everything we’ve been through,” Mr Saunders said.
“It might be sharing time with family, it might be playing in the river or dam that is full from the rain. It really is up to the imagination of the children across the electorate
“That’s why I have chosen “Your Christmas Wish” as the theme for this year’s card. I want it to be something that shows what Christmas means to our kids.”
Entry is open to all primary school students who reside in the Dubbo electorate which includes the Mid-Western Regional, Wellington, Dubbo and Narromine areas.
The winning entry will receive a $200 gift voucher to the store of the student’s choice, second place will receive a $100 gift voucher with a $50 voucher for third.
All entries must be A4 in size with no cotton, glitter or anything stuck to the page, must not be folded and the artist’s name, age and school should be clearly marked on the back of each entry. Entries can be sent via post to Dugald Saunders MP, PO Box 1327, Dubbo, NSW, 2830, or dropped into Mr Saunders’ electorate office at 1/18 Talbragar St, Dubbo, NSW, 2830, and close at 5pm on Friday, 13 November.
