A drought emergency project to pump out the remnant water left in Burrendong Dam will create jobs and boost the local economy while extending the availability of dam water for towns and critical human needs in the Macquarie valley. Funding boost for infrastructure projects

The Wellington and Mudgee communities will benefit from $230,000 in funding to support projects under the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants program, Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said today. Mr Saunders said the funding will help Wellington Golf Club and Mid-Western Regional Council deliver tangible, long-term benefits to their local communities. Refurbishing Wellington Cenotaph

Community groups are being encouraged to make an application for funds to conserve the state’s community war memorials under round two of the NSW Government’s Community War Memorials Fund. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders announced $10,000 for the refurbishment of the Wellington Cenotaph as part of the  $125,000 Memorial Fund. The NSW Government established the Community War Memorials Fund to help conserve, repair and protect war memorials across NSW.
