RFDS providing vital flights for doctors

The Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) and Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) have taken another step in their longstanding partnership to provide quality health care for people in rural and regional NSW. The scout community in western NSW will have access to improved facilities, after the NSW Government provided more than $290,000 in funding to the 1st Dubbo Scouts as part of the Stronger Country Communities Fund program. Recreation area to be built at Brocklehurst

A village to the north of Dubbo will be provided with a new green space and recreational area as part of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Program. Burrendong Dam critical pump project on standby

The NSW Government has today confirmed the installation of a WaterNSW drought emergency pump in Burrendong Dam. The pump will be used to supply remnant water out of the Dam in the event of critically low dam levels. The pump network and associated operational apparatus has been constructed and commissioned – part of a $6.7million project that adds 16 gigalitres of precious additional town supply to communities in the drought-affected Macquarie valley. LH Ford Bridge work complete

Moving large quantities of freight through Dubbo has become safer with work to strengthen the LH Ford Bridge now complete.
