A Renewable Energy Zone transmission project in NSW’s Central West has beendeclared Critical State Significant Infrastructure as a result of its importance to futureenergy supply and security. The Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission project willdevelop high-voltage transmission lines, substations and other electricityinfrastructure. An additional 23 places will be created at the Dubbo Christian Preschool thanks to funding provided by the NSW Government. More than 50,000 Murray Cod were returned to the Macquarie River today as part of the NSW Government’s ambitious plan to save the State’s native fish species, Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders has announced. Preschools to benefit from Quality Learning Environments program

Six preschools and daycare centres in Dubbo, Gulgong and Mudgee will be able to make improvements to their services thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Quality Learning Environments (QLE) program. Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said more than $80,000 has been allocated to centres in the region, with the program allowing for funding of up to $15,000 to purchase resources and activities which improve physical or educational learning environments. A young man who has found his niche in the graphic design and signwriting industry has been named as one of four apprentices from the region to be awarded a prestigious Bert Evans Scholarship in 2020.
