Eumungerie gets a boost in Before and After School Care

Balancing work and life for families in regional NSW will become easier thanks to a $37.9 million investment in before and after school care (BASC).

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has announced Eumungerie Public School will receive a financial boost to establish before and after school care in the community.

“We all know how important these services are for the community, and the flexibility it provides to families, so I’m pleased the NSW Government is supporting innovation to help working families,” Mr Saunders said.

“Great before and after school care services are essential to communities and young children, providing a safe place to play and socialise.

“Tenders will soon open for Eumungerie Public School, calling for providers to assist the school community in access to BASC provision.”

Eumungerie Public School Principal Martin Howes said Before and After School Care will be great for the Eumungerie community.

“This will be especially beneficial for parents who work in Dubbo, who will now be able to drop their kids off before going to work,” Mr Howes said.
