The Drug Court of NSW will commence sitting at Dubbo today, the first court of its kind in regional NSW. The NSW Government is providing more support to landholders around Dubbo and Mudgee, with two more graduates to bolster the ranks of the Local Land Services (LLS) in the region. An innovative approach to teacher training developed right here in Dubbo is now being doubled to accommodate demand from aspiring teachers. Based on the Collaborative Teacher’s Aide Pathway (CTAP) pioneered by Charles Sturt University (CSU)’s Dubbo campus, the Grow Your Own Teacher Training pilot initially aimed to support up to 100 School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) to upskill and study teaching degrees while working in regional schools. Students at public schools across the Dubbo electorate will return to school in 2023 with access to free menstrual hygiene products thanks to the NSW Liberal and Nationals Government.
