Works completed at Narromine Courthouse

A $9 million program fast-tracked by the NSW Government has delivered improvements to Narromine Courthouse.

Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders visited the facility this week to inspect the upgrades, which came as part of a program to upgrade 63 courthouses across the state.

“There was a real priority placed on projects that could begin immediately in order to help economies that are being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mr Saunders said.

“The painting and carpet upgrades at Narromine Courthouse certainly fit the bill, and it was great to be able to visit the staff and have a look at the work that has been done.

“Our court system has been a bit restricted as a result of the pandemic, so it also made sense to get the work done while it was less disruptive to day-to-day operations.” The courthouse projects are part of $10 billion in NSW Government support measures to underpin our state’s recovery from the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
