Toilet block to be built at Eurunderee Reserve

Eurunderee School Reserve will be fitted out with a toilet block, with Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders announcing funding has been allocated to the project by the NSW Government.

A total of $77,378 from the Crown Reserve Improvement Fund will make the reserve trust’s dream come to life, and Mr Saunders said the work will finalise a raft of work that has been done at the site.

“The trust has worked hard to make this a reality by accessing funds to install tanks and pipes previously, and this funding will finish the project off by allowing for the construction of the toilet block,” he said.

“There are more and more events happening at the Eurunderee reserve and it makes sense to have the best amenities available for the people who visit and use the facility.”

Eurunderee Reserve land manager Helen Harwood said the toilet block will provide opportunities for more events which will benefit the community.

“We’re very excited because we already have children from Mudgee Preschool who come and visit the site and we want to have a lot more open days so people can learn about the history of the area,” she said.

“There is also the potential to use it as a campsite when people visit the region for events such as Sculptures In The Garden, so we needed to ensure we have basic amenities available.

“We have a local builder lined up to do the work so we can keep the money local and we’re hopeful we can have the work done by October.”
