An event encouraging Mudgee businesswomen to take some time for themselves is one of 24 to receive a Women’s Week Grant from the NSW Government.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has today announced $5000 for Business Mudgee to help deliver its Working Women’s Wellness Luncheon: MIND | BODY | SOUL.
“The number of small businesses in the Mudgee region is only growing post-COVID, and a lot of these ventures are being driven by women,” Mr Saunders said.
“This event will allow local businesswomen to network with like-minded members of Mudgee’s business community.
“They’ll also hear from keynote speaker Amy Zielinski, founder of Central West Mums, as well as a panel Q&A with local wellness experts Alison Nipperess, Shahna Smith and Danna Maloney.
NSW Women’s Week runs from Monday, March 7 to Sunday, March 13, and promotes gender equality while celebrating the social, cultural and political achievements of women.
Business Mudgee president Alison Broinowski welcomed the “wonderful” support from the NSW Government, and said organisers are “really, really grateful”.
“It means we can offer tickets to all sorts of people who might not otherwise be able to afford them, so we can make tickets cheaper, and it also allows us to have first class speakers and panellists,” Mrs Broinowski said.
The NSW Women’s Week Grants program provided $3,000 to $5,000 grants to events that support at least one of the key priorities of the NSW Women’s Strategy 2018-2022. These include improving women’s financial wellbeing and security, encouraging a holistic approach to health and wellbeing or helping women to build confidence and celebrate their achievements.
