The Dubbo electorate is set to benefit from a share of $86 million being invested into road, bridge and truck wash projects across regional parts of the state through the latest round of the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Roads program.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said the latest round of funding would see $3.716 million invested into a pair of important infrastructure projects for the region.
“The NSW Government is investing in projects to boost freight efficiency across the regions, and improve access and connectivity across the state road network,” Mr Saunders said.
“Fixing Country Roads has already helped regional NSW councils deliver more than 300 projects to date, with the most recent funding for the Dubbo Regional and Mid-Western Regional councils adding to that list.
“With funding coming from Restart NSW, these projects will ultimately contribute to the growth of their local economies by improving freight delivery, journey times and safety outcomes.”
Projects receiving funding include:
- $2.716 million to Dubbo Regional Council for the Terrabella Bridge replacement
- $900,000 to Mid-Western Regional Council for the Goulburn River Bridge, Ulan Road replacement
Mr Saunders said the funding would allow work to be completed on projects that are valuable to their respective communities.
