Further funding is available for festivals and events that help bring people together through the NSW Government’s Stronger Together Festival and Event Grants Program.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said local groups and community organisations can apply for a share of $500,000 through the program to continue hosting celebrations into 2023.
“Our communities are home to so many vibrant cultures, with people from right across the globe excited to call our region home,” Mr Saunders said.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to get out and about and experience the diverse cultures that make our region such an amazing place to live, work and play.
“If you’re organising a festival or event for next year, now is the time to partner with the NSW Government so we can continue to share and celebrate together.”
This funding is in addition to the more than $1 million the government has already invested in cultural events and festivals this year.
The Stronger Together Festival and Events Grants provide between $5,000 and $15,000 towards the running of celebrations held between 1 February 2023 and 30 June 2023.
The grants program is currently open. Applications close at 3pm, Friday 28 October, with outcomes announced in early December.
